WHAT IS FRESHERS’?

Freshers’ is the Students’ Union’s official programme of events that are held from 19th September to the 3rd of October! It's one of the most important weeks on the calendar, designed to help you meet lots of new people, get familiar with campus, and discover new experiences.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE STUDENTS’ UNION?

Every student at the University of South Wales is automatically a member of the University of South Wales Students’ Union. You can opt-out of this by ticking a box during the enrolment process with the University. 

DO I NEED TICKETS FOR THE EVENTS?

Yes, it is quicker and easier for you to access events if you have bought tickets online in advance. While tickets may be sold on the door we cannot guarantee availability. Don’t miss out, book your tickets on our events page!

I’M HAVING TROUBLE LOGGING IN TO BUY TICKETS, WHAT DO I DO?

If you have already been given your login details for the University you can use them to log in to the Students’ Union website. If you are still waiting on your login details you can sign up for a guest account here. If you still have problems with logging in please email studunion@southwales.ac.uk stating your student number (if you have it) and the error message you have encountered and we’ll get you online.
   

How can I make sure I don’t miss out on key activities?

I MISSED FRESHERS' FAIR, WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO JOIN A TEAM, CLUB OR SOCIETY?

You can join a sports club or society all year round. Visit the sports clubs or societies website pages to get a full list of the activities that you can get involved in. We recommend you attend Freshers’ Fair though, as signing up via the website doesn’t guarantee you any important information such as the first social that the group might host during Freshers’.
