Getting Started

Getting started on a proposal can always be a tricky one, where do I start? What policy can I make? This quick how to guide should get you on the right tracks!

Call to Action or Union Policy?

Which type of proposal are you making?

Union Policy - Which mandates the Union to take action

Call to Action - Which mandates the Union to lobby the University to take action.

The Union Notes

This is where you put the facts on the issue at hand

Example: Wales play in the 6 nations - That is a fact, an opinion (but the right one) is that Wales is the best team in the Six Nations

The Union Believes

This is where you put your opinion

Example: As we are in Wales, every Welsh game they play should be shown

The Union Resolves

This is where you put your outcomes, what do you want to see actioned from submitting this proposal and how.

Example: Every Welsh game is shown on the TVs in the Student Pub (Drafts)

The deadline for policies to be submitted is Tuesday 19th November at 16:30, papers will be published on Wednesday 20th November 13:00
