Top 5 things to do in Cardiff

We're lucky to be based across the fantastic regions of South Wales - so, whether you're studying in Cardiff or are planning your next visit to the city there is plenty to do.

Here's our top 5 things to do in Cardiff:

1. Visit the Principality Stadium

Wales is infamous for its love of rugby - we're mad for the sport! Whilst the Six Nations are over, World Cup preparations is bringing South Africa & England to the capital to take on the Welsh team this August. If you can't wait that long to experience the magic of the Principality Stadium, take a walk by the river and see it in all its glory or book one of the stadium tours. It won't disappoint!

2. Explore the Arcades

Did you know that Cardiff is known as the "City of Arcades"? The city is home to seven Victorian and Edwardian arcades that are nestled amongst the biggest names on the high street. From great brunch spots to vintage stores, the Arcades are full of independent stores and you may even find a new favourite cafe to study in!

3. Take a walk in Bute Park

Cardiff has incredible green space and right by the city centre is Bute Park. With the weather getting warmer, this is the perfect place to hangout with friends, take a walk, enjoy the nature and grab a drink from one of the cafes throughout the park.

4. Visit Cardiff Castle

Wales is famous for its castles and just a short walk from the city centre is Cardiff Castle. The Public Square is free to enter and is a great place to meet up with friends and soak in the beauty of the castle or you can purchase a ticket and explore the castle up close!

5. Visit the National Museum Cardiff

If art and history is your thing then the National Museum Cardiff is a must! Visiting is free and you'll be able to explore their art galleries and exhibitions.
