The by-election offers students the unique opportunity to stand for part-time roles across the SU’s student council, SVF and student trustee positions. This is your opportunity to gain valuable experience alongside your degree, without having to give up too much of your time!  

A part-time officer position is a volunteering opportunity like no other! It gives you the opportunity to gain experience whilst studying and make changes to the Student’s Union and the University. 

Being a part-time officer allows you to network with not only the sabbatical officers but also with experienced SU staff. There is also up to £500 bursary available, which you can be rewarded at the end of the year dependent on your commitment and contribution. This bursary is role dependent.
