We offer a warm welcome to members of all genders who support the movement towards equal rights and a society without discrimination. We strive to be an intersectional society, considering feminism alongside race, social class and LGBTQ+ issues so it’s really important to us to encourage and embrace diversity in our members so that everyone’s voice is heard. Whilst the society’s message is a serious one, we also like to have plenty of light-hearted fun along the way through our casual meetings and social events!
Here at the Feminist Society, we want to create an inclusive, educational, fun and supportive space for members to discuss current issues, take part in campaigns, meet like-minded people and make new friends. We are a new society for 2020 so this is a great opportunity to get involved and shape the future of feminism at USW! We are also keen for the society to be led by our members' interests, so warmly welcome any ideas and suggestions about what you'd like to see from the society this year.
