My name is Arafat Rahman, Final year student of Bachelor of Laws. I joined Usw in September 2022, and from the first month of my university life I have participated in many activities alongside of my studies. In February 2023, we arranged International mother language day event and after that day, I with some of my friends established a society affiliated with USW Students union. In last year we have done many activities in Treforest, Glyntaff , Cardiff and Newport campus. I have participated in all the freashers event and some culturul events. I am participating as a candidate of upcoming leadership race of USW students union as a vice president of Education. I am excited to present my vision for the role of Vice President of Education in our university's student union. If elected, I will prioritize quality education, student engagement, and academic excellence. Together, let's build a stronger, more vibrant academic community.
I will work closely with faculty and administration to ensure that our academic programs meet the highest standards of quality and relevance.I will advocate for student-centered pedagogies that prioritize active learning, critical thinking, and real-world applications. Every student deserves an educational experience that is engaging, inclusive, and empowering.I will promote initiatives to enhance the overall learning environment on campus, including improved classroom facilities, accessible technology, and mental health resources. A supportive environment is essential for student success.I will establish regular forums for students to voice their feedback, concerns, and suggestions regarding academic policies, programs, and services. Your input will shape our advocacy efforts and priorities.I will prioritize initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our academic community. This includes supporting initiatives to diversify the curriculum, faculty recruitment, and student representation.
