By now you’re probably well aware of who are your full-time officers, but did you know the SU has a team of dedicated part-time officers and Student Voice Representatives? In order for you to get to know them better, we’re launching a new series of articles and post, dedicated to you part-time representatives!  

For the first edition of this series, we sat down with Liks Robert, the current Chair of Student Voice Forum! Below is a quick introduction to Liks and what he hopes to achieve in this position. 

What course/ year of study are you on? 

I’m currently in my 3rd (and final) year of BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing and Social Care Management. 

What is your current role within the SU? 

I’m the Chair of Student Voice Forum, and also the Course Representative for Health, Wellbeing and Social Care Management! 

Have you held any previous roles within the SU, if so, what? 

Yes, I have! I was the Student Voice Representative for FLSE, and also a Course Rep for Year 2! 

Why did you become an officer? 

There are a number of reasons I took on the role, here are a couple of those reasons: 

To make sure students' opinions and voices are being heard.? 

To have a positive impact on the university.? 

To raise awareness among students about the SU, its importance, and their roles as students who are part of the SU. 

To enhance the overall university experience for every student.? 

What are you most looking forward to working on this year? 

Resolving issues with Study Goal and attendance monitoring? 

Resolving issues raised by students. 

Guiding SVR's in carrying out their roles effectively and support them throughout the academic year.? 

Fun facts and my likes out of university:? 

I don’t think I’ll ever meet anyone with the same name as me! 

I am an automobile enthusiast. 

I love animals, especially dogs.
