Who we are:

Welcome to USW Cricket Club! We offer cricket all year round (September – May) for players of all abilities! Whether you’ve never played before or you were born with a bat in your hand, we would love you to join us and see what we are all about.

Training:

The club train every single week within term time on a Tuesday evening between 8-9.45pm. We are based in Treforest Campus Sports Centre whilst also training at international standard facilities in Cardiff every so often. We our coached by a Level 2 coach (and former Otter) who also offers 1:2:1 sessions throughout the year.

Matches:

We compete in Indoor Bucs Men’s West B Division along with 8 other teams. The competition takes place across two weekends between October and November and is a great opportunity for new faces to showcase their skills. This can also offer newcomers their first taste of playing at Sophia Gardens! Our outdoor season runs between April – May where we will play 5 competitive league games along with a number of friendlies which will vary from high level Welsh sides to social teams.

Socials:

We are proud to offer a great social side to our club. This includes regular gatherings whether you're a drinker or not. Many former and current Otters are now lifelong friends who first met at the cricket club!

Radyr CC:

USWCC and Radyr CC have built a strong partnership over the past 3 years which sees us play our home games at their stunning ground. The partnership also means we can offer our members a discounted membership price at the club who offer Saturday games across 6 teams throughout the summer

Memberships:

• This year we are offering 2 free taster sessions before membership fees must be paid. This means that by your third training session you must have paid your membership fee otherwise you will not be able to train
• The price of a playing membership is £140. This includes a playing shirt, training shirt, training shorts, cap, insurance, access to all training sessions and matches, as well as training and playing venue costs
• The price of a training membership is £100. This includes a training shirt, training shorts, cap, insurance, access to all training sessions as well as training venue costs
