About Us
Public Speaking Society
Effective communication is a key skill for academic, professional, and personal success, yet public speaking anxiety affects 77% of individuals. International students, in particular, face language barriers that hinder confidence and performance. This proposal aims to establish a Public Speaking Society at the University of South Wales to help students overcome these challenges through workshops, mentorship, and structured practice.
Many students struggle with communication due to language barriers and lack of confidence. Research indicates that over 60% of UK international students face communication difficulties, impacting academic and social experiences. This society will provide a supportive space to enhance fluency, articulation, and confidence.
