Hello everyone, my name is Eniola Olusegun, and I am running to be your next International Students Officer. I am honored to present my manifesto for the esteemed position of International Student Officer. As an international student myself, I deeply understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by individuals studying away from their home countries. With this perspective in mind, I am committed to advocating for the needs and interests of international students and ensuring their voices are heard and valued within our academic community.

If elected I promise to:

1. Give the smooth transition of international student into our campus community top priority. This entails creating welcoming environments that celebrate diversity and advance intercultural understanding, offering extensive support services, and putting in place orientation programmes specifically designed to meet the needs of international students.

 2. Give academic Support by recognizing the academic challenges that international students may encounter, I will work closely with faculty and academic advisors to develop resources and initiatives aimed at assisting international students in navigating academic requirements, accessing support services, and achieving academic success

3. I'll plan activities and events that encourage cross-cultural communication, highlight, the wide range of culture among our student body, and give both local and international students the chance to grow as individuals and share their knowledge.

4. In my role as International Student Officer, I will act as a resolute representative for international students, raising their issues and giving them a voice at all university governance levels. In order to make sure that projects and policies are inclusive and sensitive to the requirements of international students, I will actively collaborate with the administration of the institution, student organisations, and outside stakeholders.         

In conclusion, I am deeply passionate about representing and advocating for the interests of international students. If elected as International Student Officer, I will dedicate myself wholeheartedly to serving the needs of our diverse international student community, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, and enriching the overall student experience for all.
